Reach For The Rainbow Radiothon
(helping to keep Sunshine Coach Service viable and Fares
affordable for people living with disabilities in Renfrew and area)
The 2015 edition of the Reach For The Rainbow Radiothon raised a record
$69,400.00
with the Kilos of Coins yet to be counted.

Beginning in 2015, in part to mark our 30th Anniversary and to celebrate our embarking
on our 31st year of providing accessible transportation service to Renfrew and the
surrounding area, we are unveiling a new major fundraising event format. The
Reach For The Rainbow Telethon is being replaced with the Reach For Rainbow Radiothon.
The event will be broadcast live on Valley Heritage Radio (98.7) on Sunday October
25th between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Leveraging our great community partnership
with VHR, both organizations are extremely excited about unveiling this all-new
event. Everyone is invited to visit the VHR Studios located at 3009 Burnstown Road
on the day of the event to enjoy the free live entertainment from 1 to 5 on the
Cavanagh Stage.

organization Friends of the Disabled (Renfrew) Inc.) accepts donations online
through CanadaHelps.org, a charitable organization registered with Canada Revenue
Agency which provides secure processing for major credit cards and provides
immediate charitable receipts directly to you via e-mail.

Operating a service such as Sunshine Coach is a very expensive proposition
in today's uncertain economy. Charging our clients for the actual operating
cost of trips would almost certainly make the service cost prohibitive for most
of the people we serve. It is a necessity therefore to provide for shortfalls
not covered by fares through the form of community fund raising and government subsidies.
The purpose of our Radiothon is to reach out to you the public and seek your support
in assisting us to continue this valuable service to those among our community who
need it urgently. Your donations are critical to the continued viability of
Sunshine Coach and are appreciated beyond what words can express.

Kilos of Coins
Visitors to the Radiothon are encouraged to bring along their spare change
to add to our Kilos of Coins Weigh Scale.
Please Count Yourself In!
The scale will be located inside one of our coaches which will be attended by one
of our experinced and professional Drivers who will be pleased to demonstrtate one
our specially exquipped vehciles and to answer any question you may have.
The official final weight was 65.2 KG
(143.5 lbs).
We are currently in the process of rolling and counting the coins so please watch
this space for a final total.
