¬Organization Structure

The Sunshine Coach Service operates as a community not-for-profit (NFP) under the umbrella of the registered charuitable organziation chartered as Friends of the Disabled (Renfrew) Inc.  The service was initiated in March 1985 for people, who because of mobility challenges are in the position where conventional modes of transportation are inappropriate to their needs.

Under normal conditions, our divers are not permitted to enter any building to provide personal assistance.  If further help is required or stairs are involved, an attendant must accompany the client or arrange to have assistance available where required. 

Operations of Sunshine Coach is overseen by the Friends oif the Disabled (Renfrew) Inc,. In the beginning the Variety Club donated a mini bus.  Over the years the service has grown from 2,265 trips in it’s first 10 months of operation to 20,434 trips in 2009.
